En todos, excepto unos pocos niveles, el objetivo principal del juego es asustar a todos los mortales (seres humanos) y hacer que huyan de la zona en el miedo O sucumben a la locura.
Ghost Master juega de manera similar a un juego de estrategia en tiempo real. El jugador primero elige los fantasmas que quiere colocar en el nivel. El jugador no puede colocar cada fantasma en cada lugar. Cada fantasma tiene uno o dos tipos de objetos (o "grilletes") a los que puede estar vinculado. Por ejemplo, un fantasma que murió durante un robo sólo podía estar vinculado a un "asesinato Fetter", mientras que un espíritu de agua sólo puede estar obligado a un baño, fregadero, o un simple charco de agua.
Otro factor limitante es "Plasm". Este recurso numérico dicta las habilidades que un fantasma puede usar. Cuando un ser humano se asusta, se genera Plasm. Con más Plasm, las habilidades más fuertes (y más fantasmas) se pueden colocar en cualquier momento.
Una vez que se ha completado el objetivo de un nivel, el juego califica el progreso del jugador. Se consideran muchos factores, incluyendo el tiempo, la cantidad de impacto en los mortales y cuántos mortales huyeron. Si el jugador es capaz de completar la misión con bastante rapidez, hay un multiplicador añadido a la puntuación final. Esta puntuación determina la cantidad de "Gold Plasm" dada al jugador, que se utiliza para agregar más hechizos al arsenal de fantasmas.
El juego termina con un cliffhanger, con el Ghostbreakers traer una bomba que borraría completamente la presencia sobrenatural en la ciudad donde el juego tiene lugar.

I was disappointed, frustrated, confused with so many thoughts on my mind like hanging my self if I did not see him again because I can not my parent about the pregnancy when the man responsible for it had disappeared. our religion's against that, my family will be disappointed in me, I have brought them shame. I look for daniel everywhere till I could chat with him on social network, he warned me never to disturb him again because he already had found another girl that he wants to live his life with, after a while, he blocked me from all access then I could not tell him of my pregnancy for him. so, I needed help from all corners of life, I decide to check to google my self or read some write up on-site on how to coup with my pain because I could not tell anybody about it not even my friends were aware of my pregnancy.
